As we are all individuals, I offer a variety of lesson packages to suit individual needs. I offer single lessons for students who want that flexibility. However, one does not learn to play an instrument, or make significant, fundamental changes to the way one plays in a single hour. I recommend that if you are serious about really learning something, you enroll in one of the 16-session courses.
Please be aware:
- Learning to play the instrument is something you will do on your own. The more you practice by yourself, the more you will learn. I will teach you how to practice, so that you can decide for yourself how far you wish to take your learning.
- All sessions are private, and 1 hour in length.
- All payment is due before lessons are given.
The purpose of this initial session is for us to meet each other, to determine if my lessons are a good fit for you, to get a sense of where you are and where you would like to be going, and to answer any questions you may have. I will introduce you to some of the basic concepts in my method, so that you can begin to develop awareness of how it might help you.
If you feel unready to commit to an Introductory Course after the initial consultation, you may enroll in additional Coachings until you are ready.
Tuition: $85 for a one-hour session. This fee is waived if you sign up for an Introductory Course.
For adults who need a touch-up lesson, or who want the flexibility of taking lessons on their own schedule (e.g., bi-weekly or monthly)
Tuition: $100 for a one-hour session
Expiration date: 6 months after purchase.
This course explains the basics of my method of learning the piano. It is suitable for players of all ages and levels, and all styles of music. The course is customized to your specific needs, and you will be given exercises that help you to progress based on where you are right now, wherever that may be.
We will cover a variety of concepts, including:
- Movement at the piano
- Awareness and mindfulness skills
- Scales and chord progressions
- Repertoire appropriate to your level
Even if you have experience playing the piano or another instrument, you should enroll in the Introductory Course. This is because my approach may be different from your previous experience.
It is important that you commit to 16 lessons before evaluating whether or not this approach is right for you. The concepts may be confusing at first, and you need to give them some time to sink in. This is why I request that all new students complete this course first.
Tuition: $1360 for 16 one-hour sessions.
Expiration date: 4 months from purchase
For students who have already completed the introductory course.
This course focuses on applying the basic skills learned in the introductory course in a more free-form way to repertoire appropriate to the student's level. It is suitable for all ages and levels.
It is essential that you complete the introductory course before enrolling in the advanced course.
You may repeat the advanced course as many times as you would like. The further you explore the limits of your abilities, the more rewarding the journey will become.
Tuition: $1120 for 16 one-hour sessions.
Expiration date: 4 months after purchase.
